Sinulog Festival King, The Mighty Dandie
With
his proud stance and next-door-boy looks, Dandie will easily pass as a guy who
makes breaking women’s hearts a pastime. But that wouldn’t be him anymore.
Besides, finding love doesn’t seem to be on top of his list. The active twenty-one-year-old
lad from Lapu-Lapu City has a lot of things on his plate—and he’s currently
enjoying devouring every one of them.
Mariano
Dandie C. Dimataga—or Dandie, to majority of his friends and family—is
currently enrolled in Royal Christian College as a Tourism Management student.
With still a year or two to go, he buries himself on almost-countless lectures
and examinations, as well as many hours of on-the-job trainings.
Yet
he doesn’t really stop there. He spends time on sports, which eventually handed
him Athlete of the Year. He’s also embraced entertainment as a model; in fact,
for a while, he shared spotlight with Ms. Eugene Domingo, Jon Avila, Regine
Tolentino, and Andrew Wolf, to name a few, when he became part of TV5’s
now-defunct game show Lucky Numbers.
In
between takes and perhaps book poring, he enhances his dancing, singing, and
acting, the latter of which could be paying off after winning Best Actor in his
college.
Never
selfish, Dandie spares whatever remaining time he has to the rest of the youth
as an outstanding Sangunniang Kabataan councillor.
Now,
a lot of guys with such an impressive resume would feel they earned their
bragging rights. Dandie, however, prefers to be cool about his achievements.
He’s more than happy to feel the love and care of the people in the industry
he’s currently in. More than his looks, he’s banking on his right set of
values, passion, and advocacies.
Seriously,
who wouldn’t want him to be 2012’s first Face of Cebu? Truly a King, Cebu's Sinulog King , the mighty Dandie.
